Cerebras Systems builds wafer-scale AI processors and the systems around them. Founded in 2015 in San Jose by a group including Andrew Feldman (founder of SeaMicro, sold to AMD), Gary Lauterbach, Sean Lie, Jean-Philippe Fricker, and Michael Aftergut, the company's central bet is a single interposer-free slab of silicon - the Wafer-Scale Engine - rather than racks of discrete GPUs.
