Lindy began life as Teamflow, a virtual-office startup founded by French engineer-turned-product-leader Flo Crivello in April 2020. Crivello — who led Uber Works and JUMP at Uber — built Teamflow to kill 'Zoom fatigue' with a spatial virtual office. It raised roughly $50M (a $3.9M seed from Menlo, an $11M Series A from Battery Ventures, and a $35M Series B from Coatue at a $225M valuation) with investors including Tiger Global, SV Angel, and Elad Gil.\n\nBut the virtual-office market cooled, and in January 2023 the team pivoted Teamflow into Lindy, an AI assistant and agent platform. The Serendipity: Crivello's capital cushion (the ~$50M raised for Teamflow) funded the pivot.
