Kable was a usage-based billing and API infrastructure platform for API-first companies. It handled API key generation and management, authentication, usage metering, billing calculation, invoicing, and customer-facing dashboards — all in a few lines of code. Designed for developer-facing SaaS products, data APIs, and any product with usage-based pricing. Founded in 2021 by Adam Sommer (CEO). Sommer spent 5 years as the billing lead at Hulu (both as Engineer and Product Manager) and also worked on the security team at Appian.
