InterPrime was an automated treasury management platform for businesses. It provided cash flow monitoring, investment policy customization, and liquidity and yield optimization. The company aimed to democratize corporate treasury — giving small and mid-sized businesses access to the same quality of treasury tools as large enterprises like Apple. Founded in 2018 by Kanishka Maheshwari (CEO), Greg Pascale (CTO), and Mike Dombrowski (Head of Capital Markets). Maheshwari spent 11 years at Salesforce, progressing from engineering intern to Director of Product Management of the Salesforce Search Engine (scaled 1000x to 150M queries/day). He designed Salesforce's A/B Testing framework and holds an MS in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon. Pascale worked on the fixed income desk at Barclays Capital, developed iOS apps at Microsoft, was first employee at Clipboard (acquired by Salesforce), and worked on the alternative data team at Citadel hedge fund. Dombrowski spent 18 years on Wall Street as a proprietary trader, portfolio manager, and advisor. He built an interest rate management advisory at Arbor Research managing up to $1B/month in securities. YC Winter 2019 batch. Raised $150K+ from Y Combinator, Tribe Capital, VentureSouq, Pioneer Fund, and Agile Angel. Built a base of 50+ customers. Acquired by Rho in March 2022. The product was relaunched as Rho Prime Treasury in September 2022, integrating treasury management into Rho's finance platform.
InterPrime had a strong team combining tech (Salesforce, Microsoft, Citadel) and traditional finance (Wall Street) expertise. The product addressed a real need — SMBs lacked access to sophisticated treasury management tools that large enterprises have. The acquisition by Rho (and integration as Prime Treasury) was a logical fit: Rho provides banking/spend management, InterPrime added treasury. Good outcome for a company that only raised ~$150K+.
